About WISE Tampa Bay
We held a fantastic meeting on June 8 to introduce potential new members and partners to WISE Tampa Bay. With over 40+ attendees, we look forward to welcoming more into our chapter! Be sure to check out our new sizzle video and share the word about our network. We will be hosting another prospective meeting in the fall.

  • Congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning who were recently awarded the 2022 Sports Business Journal's Team of the Year.
  • Welcome new Team Tampa Bay member, USF Women's Lacrosse Head Coach, Mindy McCord who will lead the charge in adding lacrosse in 2023-24 to the list of highly-successful women's sports programs at USF.
  • Congrats to Tracy West who was named the 2022 Lukenda School of Business Distinguished Alumni of the Year at Lake Superior State University and recently hosted a successful 2022 Wells Fargo Championship at the TPC Potomac in Washington DC.
  • Thanks to WISE Strategic Planning Committee member, Lesley Young and her company Greyline Media for producing our sizzle reel for WISE Tampa Bay.
  • Congrats to everyone at the Tampa Bay Lightning for an exciting playoff run and good luck in the Stanley Cup Finals!

President's Corner
This month, on June 23rd we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the 1972 federal civil rights law that prevented gender inequities and removed barriers for girls and women in education and sports. We have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go! Our community will unite and host an educational and inspirational Beyond Barriers - 50th Anniversary of Title IX celebratory event featuring keynote Mayor Jane Castor, Title IX Trailblazer Power Panelists, ESPN moderator and a sneak peek screening of '37 Words', ESPN Films' 4-part documentary series chronicling the hard-fought battle of equal rights in education and athletics. The event is FREE to attend and will take place at Amalie Arena from 6-7:30pm in partnership with Spectrum, ESPN's Fifty/50, Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Tampa Bay Lightning, Women in Cable Television (WICT) and WISE Tampa Bay. WISE Tampa Bay and WICT will co-host a members-only networking happy hour in advance of the Beyond Barriers program in Firestick Grill. We hope you can join us!
